Founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio, Nine Inch Nails have stuck closely to its rock roots, falling mostly under the categories of alternative rock, industrial rock and industrial metal. During the first years of playing the band made a name for itself on the underground music stream, and it wasn’t until the 1990s that the group began producing radio hits and started seeing recognition for their music. With Reznor at the lead, Nine Inch Nails has released eight albums and experienced international success.
