New Info Leading Towards Mark Romanek's Film 'One Hour Photo,' Which May Feature A Trent Reznor Musical Score
Updated 03.26.2001 12:00 AM EDT

Last week SLS News exclusively reported that while Trent Reznor was in Los Angles working on the Fragility CD/DVD/VHS release, he hooked up with known music video director Mark Romanek about possibly scoring Romanek's feature film "One Hour Photo" starring Academy Award winner Robin Williams. (See "Music Video Director Extraordinaire, Mark Romanek Meets With Trent Reznor For Possible 'One Hour Photo' Soundtrack Score") What we've learned since the aformentioned update is that the movie has yet to be screened, but will be in the next two weeks. If the movie does well, it will then go to Skywalker Ranch for mixing.

We can also confirm that Reznor has been sent several scenes from the movie to write music to. "The movie crew had used some music from The Fragile to kinda "fill" scenes and give a feel to them," explained my contact. "From what I understand, it was strictly instrumental pieces they had chose. I still can't 100% confirm whether or not Trent has accepted the project, but it sure seems that way."

As to my contact's knowledge, the movie does NOT have a set release date. "The movie could get changed depending on how the screenings go," he said. "I also found out that it only had about a $7 million dollar budget, which is peanuts in the movie industry," he continued. "Mark Romanek has shot 5 minute music videos for 3 to 4 million before, which in his movie case, this is not a good sign."

Stay tuned for more information about the film as the weeks continues..
