5K Fragile Review in Kerrang! Magazine
In the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine features an awesome review of The Fragile with details from some new
tracks we've yet to hear. Here's a snippet from the review:
Acclaimed by Reznor himself as the best work of his life, "The Fragile" is ambitious, inventive and emotive. After
this, you may never want to hear Slipknot or Korn or Limp Bizkit again.
It begins, unexpectedly, with the funky strum of an acoustic guitar, although "Somewhat Damaged", the amusingly-titled
first track, quickly reveals classic NIN traits: a hypnotic, mechanised beat and a lyric full of self-loathing. 'Too fucked
up to care any more,' Reznor moans. He is a gothic rock icon, after all.
"The Day The World Went Away" follows, one of the album's key tracks, a gigantic rock roar interspersed with ominous lulls
and finished with a powerful 'na-na' chorus. Truly an anthem for the year 2000. Then comes "The Frail", a two-minute instrumental
evoking the eerie calm of Bowie's "Low", and "The Wretched", a cold, hard funk crunch as pervy as "Closer". Then it's the seven-minute
single "We're In This Together", a song with the raw power of early NIN and all the desperate romance of Bowie's "Heroes".

Street Advertisements For The Fragile
The scan on the right are usually called Subway posters, but this an actual painting of The Fragile cover art. In this case the
Tower sunset is a highly visible store (lots of important people in the record business come to the store) rather than just send
posters and those little cardboard square things, the labels pay more money to have a painting/billboard
put up outside of the store to advertise the album. I'm told there are probably 30 of these paintings, which a group of artists
that are comissioned to paint these kind of things (most of them are shitty) for the labels once the label has bought the space at Tower.
Anyhow subway posters are giant like posters that advertise upcoming shows, events, or releases. This image was taken with a
polaroid camera in front of the Tower Sunset in LA, which went on display this evening. Although there are several of
these for different artists all along the outside of the store. The NIN painting is in a prominent position, which Interscope Records paid for.
Coma White Video Causes Small Issues
Here are two scans from reverse sides of a new Nine Inch Nails flats. The front is a higher quality scan of the cover
art to the North America release of "The Fragile" on September 21st, while the reverse side is the advertisement for The Fragile
and the promotional single "We're In This Together" which still has a commercial release outside of North America on October 11th.

a live Tower Records release party.
(BOSTON) The FNX Radio Network, the Boston-based radio chain that debuted Nine Inch Nails' "The Day The World Went Away,"

every 15 minutes until Sunday evening, along with frequent giveaways to a Nine Inch Nails laser light show at Boston's Museum Of

NIN To Tour The Globe
For those who are anxious enough to see Nine Inch Nails tour since the three small appearances at the "Nights of
Nothing" tour in 1996 (supporting the Nothing bands). Start saving up your money now, because the tour of the millennium is just around
the corner and though this date is still unconfirmed for this years fall scheduled tour there is a high possibility this is true.
We mentioned last month on August 14th (read our "Nine Inch Nails Tentative Tour
Schedule" headline for more info) that the tentative tour schedule is: South America - October, Europe - October/November, Japan - early
January 2000, Australia - January/February 2000, including a North American tour Spring 2000. The tentative schedule is living up to be true
with an unconfirmed date at the 013 Arena in Tilburg, Holland on November 28th, 99. The venue couldn't give
any date on which the presale started, because NIN management couldn't confirm the gig till now. 013 is a 2,300 capacity venue, which only opened
in November 1998. It's the only venue in Holland, which was specifically built for pop music. Marilyn Manson played there on December 14th of last
year. I can warn you that tickets can go extremely fast. The Red Hot Chili Peppers gig at the 14,000 venue in the Hague sold out within the hour.
We'll keep you posted on the latest...
