Trent Reznor's Lates Plans for Nine Inch Nails
When Trent Reznor finished the 2009 Nine Inch Nails tour by posting that it was "time to make NIN disappear for a while" on the band's official website, the announcement sent the band's many long-time fans into a panic. Fortunately, if Reznor's recent interviews are any indication, then NIN fans can expect their favorite band reappear again in 2012.
For the last couple years, Reznor has worked on other musical projects. He has dabbled more extensively in movie soundtracks and earned several nominations for his work on "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." His new band with his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, How To Destroy Angels, is set to release its first full-length album in 2012. With so much going on, it would not seem like Reznor would have time to re launch NIN, but it turns out the opposite is true.
At the end of 2011, rumors that Reznor would write a new Nine Inch Nails material were rampant. Reznor confirmed those rumors during a December interview with The Space Lab. During that interview, Reznor said that he planned "on spending a good portion of this coming year writing with a new NIN album in mind." In a Billboard interview at the beginning of 2012, Reznor admitted that initially he was unsure if the new music would use the NIN moniker, but now his plans to resurrect the band are official.
During Reznor’s recent interview he reiterated his plans to write a new Nine Inch Nails album. While it seems unlikely that they plan to tour again soon, Reznor's prolific writing style almost guarantees a new NIN album within the next year.

Regardless of what moniker Trent releases the music under, the fact remains that it will be Trent's music, and the legacy of his work speaks for itself. As a fan, all that I care about is that he continues to release new and innovative music while continuing to support new artists like Saul Williams and his soundtrack work with Atticus Ross. - Happy_Slave on 3/23/2012
