Year Zero

Year Zero is the fifth studio album by Nine Inch Nails, the American industrial rock group. Frontman Trent Reznor composed the album while on the With Teeth tour. "Year Zero", a concept album, is very critical of contemporary American government policy, which is a departure from Reznor's typically introspective work. Inspired by Public Enemy work, "Year Zero" was released in 2007 to positive reviews and sales, hitting number two on Billboard. Two singles, Survivalism and Capital G, came off the album, although neither was a huge hit on its own. Nine Inch Nails toured in support of the release, and the album continues to have a 76 percent favorable rating averaged from 28 reviews on Metacritic.
